These easy-to-knit wrist warmers were inspired by the paperbark trees in my garden. The pattern grows organically out of the twisted ribbing that forms the bands, and travels diagonally across the stocking stitch background. No cabling is used. The twisted stitch ribbing at the base of the fingerless gloves also makes an attractive rounded edge. The gloves are knitted in a chunky wool/alpaca blend that makes them warm, soft and very fast to knit. The pattern fits from a medium sized child through to an adult.
