Katherine Fay
G'day, I'm Katherine, the designer behind Huff 'n Cuffs Patterns.
I started originally as a bagmaker, using patterns from other independent designers. 12 months later I noticed that I was constantly thinking of my own designs and realized that yes, I could actually make my own patterns.
I have a Bachelors degree in Commerce and a Diploma in Business Administration, over 20 years of computer experience and a love of bagmaking, so I combined all my skills and now I am a bag designer. I aim to bring simple and unique patterns to all levels of bagmakers. They are not only easy and simple patterns but they also produce functional and professional looking bags.
So why the name Huff ‘n Cuffs? My granddaughter came up with the name when she was only four years old, it was how she said arts and crafts. She is just like her Nanna, very creative. So when she would visit me, she would always ask to do huff ‘n cuffs, and that is where the name began.
