The Narwhal Tea Cosy knitting pattern was inspired by a love of marine life and the unusual, I just love that whales crossed with unicorns are real and live in the seas.
The narwhal tea cosy is knitted with double thickness yarn, one cream strand and one in Stylecraft Special DK Charcoal, which is a lovely mottled yarn, which helps to hive the narwhal a dappled like appearance.
The tail and horn are stiffened with plastic taken from a plastic milk bottle. I used a milk bottle because the plastic is flat in the middle.
The narwhal tea cosy is an enjoyable tea cosy to make and perfect for people who love programs like 'Blue Planet'.
You could make your narwhal look more magical looking by knitting it in a colour or using a sparkly yarn.
The Narwhal tea cosy is knitted with double knitting wool which has been doubled to keep the teapot really warm.
The tea cosy fits a medium sized teapot that covers a Teapot that holds 6 to 8 cups.
The pattern will be available for digital download as soon as you have completed purchase, so you could start knitting him very soon!
This product is the knitting pattern only to make your own Narwhal tea cosy.

I design and knit unique tea cosies. I really love designing exciting and unusual tea cosies, its great fun and people don’t mind having an over the top tea cosy. Plus they are a great talking point at tea time and make for brilliant knitting projects.
I have quite a following with regular customers who regularly buy my latest designs from my website TeaCosyFolk.co.uk
I have had a couple of patterns printed in the Simply Knitting Magazine, which is very exciting.
