I wanted to make myself a summer blouse that was quick and easy to make and to wear. To quickly make the blouse, I skipped the process of finishing the neckline with bias binding by simply inserting an elastic band through the neckline. In my case it only took me an hour to assemble the blouse, including the cutting time. Considering how long it took me to make this blouse, the outcome was satisfying and charming. If you are worried that the blouse may look a bit bulky for you, make it with fabric that has a high percentage of rayon. When a fabric is thin and light, the ruffles won’t appear so hefty and intense.
