Emeraude Abaya is my first design in the sewing pattern category. It’s a very loose design and it is quite simple to make since it doesn’t have many pattern pieces. With its large silhouette, this Abaya sewing pattern with its batwing sleeves, it’s a very breathable design in which you’ll feel elegant and comfortable at the same time.
This pattern is cut by folding the fabric in 4. There are no shoulder seams.
SKILL LEVEL : INTERMEDIATE This is not a very technical project in the sewing part, but the cut of the fabric might be a little bit tricky because it is made on 2 folds. So, especially if you chose a satin like fabric, it’s a bit challenging to place the fabric the right way even before putting the pattern pieces to cut them. All that without forgetting that you have more layers to cut through. But no panic, with a little bit of patience, it’s not impossible to get through. I do enjoy the look without any seams on the shoulders.
WHAT YOU NEED TO MAKE THIS ABAYA SEWING PATTERN 3 meters of fabric of 1,50 m in width.
