Margaux is a medieval-inspired children's dress. Offered with two different assembly options, beginner level (version A) or advanced (version B), it allows you to discover many basic and more advanced techniques through highly detailed instructions, along with two step-by-step videos, all while having fun. It is available in sizes 2 to 10 years and can be enhanced, to give it volume, with an underskirt (assembly video also included), for which you can download the pattern and instructions for free at this address: https://en.kandix.fr/jupon
Even though the project might seem ambitious, it is actually perfect if you are a beginner, thanks to the provided guidance.

Detailed Description The dress features a bodice with a contrasting central panel, puff sleeves with slashes (either simulated or sewn depending on the chosen assembly option), a long gathered skirt with a box pleat panel, and optional overlays that can be added to the sleeve cuffs.
The first assembly (version A) is designed for beginner to intermediate level sewists. In this version, the bodice is unlined, and the neckline is finished with a facing. The puff sleeve slashes are simulated using interfaced panels. You can choose to add the overlays or leave them out. The dress fastens at the back of the bodice with Velcro strips.
The second assembly (version B) is aimed at more intermediate to advanced level sewists. This time, the bodice is fully lined and, if desired, can be embellished with piping. The slashed sleeves are fully sewn, and once again, you can choose to add the overlays or not. The dress fastens at the back of the bodice with buttons. Several hand-sewn stitches are required to finish the garment. Overall, this version takes more time to complete than version A and requires more patience and dexterity.
It’s up to you to choose which version you’d like to make. If you're a beginner or intermediate level sewist, or simply short on time, opt for version A. However, if you enjoy refined finishes, have time on your hands, or want to challenge yourself, then have fun with version B.
Three step-by-step assembly videos accompany this pattern (one for each version of the dress and one for the underskirt).
