This ebook consists of very detailed sewing instructions, pattern and lookbook. It's not just a simple sewing tutorial, but rather structured like "a real book" or even "screenshots of a video + text", with lots of tips and info. Don't be intimidated by the number of pages. There are only so many because everything is very detailed with lots of photos, so even wallet newbies can follow along easily. Advanced sewers can just sew by pictures and read up if something is unclear and skip the rest of the pages. Beginners, on the other hand, might miss these pages. So everyone has the chance to sew this patterns.
Difficulty: 3 of 5 – Working time: about 3-7 hours
Little Ruby measures approx. W 16cm (6 3/8") x H 10cm (4") and is therefore much smaller and easier to handle than her big sister "Ruby/Onyx". This makes it suitable not only for adults, but also for older children/teens.
There is no topstitching all round (except on the flap), which makes it easier to sew the wallet. Thanks to the recommended interfacings, the wallet is stable and sits comfortably in the hand. Choose from two flap shapes.
The wallet is closed with a snap fastener, which can be attached to an closure tab (3 tab options are included). Choose from 3 tab shapes: pointed, round or rectangular. You can use other closures if you do not want to use the tab. However, these are not illustrated in the instructions. You will find information (in German) about other types of closures and how to attach them in free tutorials on my website. I do NOT recommend using a magnetic snap, as this could delete the chip cards.
THE INSIDE OF LITTLE RUBY
Mini Ruby contains 9-14 card slots, a banknote compartment wallet, which can hold unfolded banknotes and a coin pocket. You can also attach a photo pocket to the flap or divider.
For the lining fabrics I recommend using normal, lightweight cotton woven fabrics (max. 135g/m² // 4oz/yd²), such as poplin, quilting cottons, cotton sateen. Do NOT use heavyweight fabrics (canvas, decor fabric or similar) for the lining! Otherwise, the wallet will be too thick and at worst unusable.

Hansedelli
Even as a child I always wanted to look behind things and know how they work. I never wanted to become a teacher or a veterinarian like the other children, but always an inventor. So with the foundation of my label Hansedelli in April 2014 I fulfilled a childhood dream, because as a designer you are somehow an inventor :-)
As Hansedelli I design patterns for bags, purses and co. and create sewing instructions. I attach a lot of importance to detailed instructions and good photos, so that even beginners can follow the instructions. Visit me on Facebook www.facebook.com/hansedelli or on my website www.hansedelli.de
