I have to admit Iβm not a fan of winter β I miss the green of the trees, bushes, flowers and grass way too much during that time. But fortunately coniferous trees exist and their dark greens are just as pretty as the brighter ones of their broadleaf tree siblings. π²
You can use this block with its eleven different sizes in various projects: a mug rug, a mini quilt, a draw string as a Christmas gift bag or for placemats. Or make several bigger ones and turn them into a table runner, a wall hanging or combine it with other Christmas themed blocks and make a whole quilt to cuddle with on the sofa during the holidays. The pattern is great for using up the leftover fabric scraps from former Christmas projects and with the small sizes you can make cute little Christmas tree ornaments or special handmade gift cards.π
The pattern comes in eleven sizes (2", 2.5", 3", 3.5", 4β, 4.5β, 5β, 5.5", 6β,6.5" and 7β) with a coloring sheet and a bunch of design examples. The pattern has only one single template so it's a pretty quick sew and has a ΒΌβ seam allowance. There are no curves or y-seams.
The pattern comes as PDF files in A4 and US Letter paper format.
This is a very beginner friendly Foundation Paper Piecing (FPP) pattern that assumes basic knowledge of paper piecing. It does not include detailed FPP instructions or further instructions for turning it into e.g. a pillow or a quilt. You can find lots of free tutorials for the various FPP methods online.
This pattern can be made with just a few cotton scraps from your stash.

I grew up with the sound of my mum's and grandma's sewing machines and have been sewing since my teenage years. Focused on clothes and accessories first a few years ago I caught the patchwork virus and have been hooked up ever since.
Meanwhile I create my own designs and write patterns for traditional piecing and foundation paper piecing in English and German for beginners and advanced sewers. I love to experiment with different colors and designs and to see what others create with my ideas.
