Sweater Pink is comfortable to wear and has a positive ease of 9 - 12 cm/ 3.5 - 7.5 inch depending on size. I have knitted this sweater with a mix of Alpaca, Cotton and Virgin Wool (Lana Grossa - Brigitte no 2), which is more suitable for winter. If you would change the yarn to cotton or acryl, this sweater will be more suitable for spring, summer or fall.
Sweater Pink is an easy knitting pattern for a girl's sweater in 5 sizes (4 till 12 years), which is knitted bottom up. The front piece and the identical back piece are knitted flat. The alternation of colors creates a beautiful stripe pattern. The used stitches are simple, namely knit and purl and knit 2 stitches together. You will need to sew the shoulder seams together, close the sleeves and sew them into the sweater and close the side seams.
This pattern is available in English.
Gauge with knitting needle size 6 mm (US 10, UK 4) in stockinette stitch = 14.3 stitches and 20 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 inch. (Stockinette stitch = right side: knit all stitches; wrong side: purl all stitches)
