FRIDAS Schlüttli is a baby cardigan with buttons following the raglan shoulder line down the side of the cardigan. The advantage of this raglan cardigan in comparison to a baby sweater is that it can be fully opened. So, you do not have to pull the sweater above the newborns head. The Schlüttli is knitted top down without a seam. After knitting the collar and button tab the body and sleeves are separated. First the body afterwards the sleeves are knitted. To avoid gaps under the arm this pattern includes a step-by-step explanation of increased stitches under the arms. The pattern includes two yarn proposals. The merino wool is perfect for winter and the cotton alternative for summer days. The Schlüttli is named after my little daughter. I designed this Schlüttli as a birth gift.
