The pockets are the main attraction on this dress but you can also leave them for a different look.

If you have made a pattern of mine this is definitely upping the stakes a bit, as I added a fastening to the back. Its an easy way to fasten a garment and the technique is the same as you would use for a gentlemen's sleeve opening.

For the dress I used a soft denim and for the yoke a fine cord. The yoke lining needs to really pop, so go wild. Its a great idea to match the yoke lining and the seam finish. If you don't have a serger use bias binding to cover the rough edges. Check the website where I also show you how to make your own bias binding for the seam finish.
