The ebook includes the pattern CERGAS for kids by Nähfrosch, detailed sewing instructions with many photos as well as practical tips for sewing.
Perfect for active kids who like to wear skirts! CERGAS is a quickly sewn skirt with integrated shorts, also called skort, tennis skirt or culottes. This practical combination is really suitable for everyday use, because whether tumbling, riding a bike or just sitting around in a cool manner - unwanted slip flashes are prevented by the sewn-in shorts of this activewear skirt. This way, kids big and small can wear a short skirt and still move freely and without restraint.
CERGAS thus provides a short skirt in a light A-line with integrated short leggings designed for stretchy fabrics. Of course, the skirt and shorts can also be sewn separately. You can choose between a cuffed fabric or jersey waistband, with or without a decorative drawstring. In addition, CERGAS features practical inseam pockets.
By the way, CERGAS is Indonesian and translates into "energy" - so your kids can fully unleash their energy with this great companion.
The CERGAS pattern is so easy and, above all, quick to sew that it's addictive! Even the incorporated pockets and the eyelets are child's play with our step-by-step instructions.
Fabric recommendations
For CERGAS we recommend stretchy fabrics and fabrics that are preferably not too thin, e.g. jersey, lycra, sweatshirt fabrics, French terry or jacquard.
The skirt may also be made of light woven fabric such as muslin. In this case, it should only be noted that the cuffs and pants have to be made of an elastic material in any case.
Fabric consumption
For CERGAS you need (based on 140 cm fabric width plus seam allowances and buffers):
Skirt and pants including pockets and jersey waistband Sizes 92 - 110 = 0.70 m, sizes 116 - 152 = 0.80 m, sizes 158 - 164 = 0.90 m
Of course, you can also mix two fabrics, so here are the individual indications:
