Cute shorts or chic long pants: CELI is the perfect choice for every occasion or daily life. The "pull on" pants cut a fine figure and can also be shortened to a trendy culotte! Made of light woven fabrics such as poplin, muslin or linen the pants will be the right companion for spring and summer, and made of thicker fabrics such as jeans or corduroy they are also suitable for autumn and winter.

The optional fake fly, inseam pockets and the half-round pockets at the back are exciting details. Depending on which version you sew, you get casual pants or business pants suitable for the office. The pants can be sewn in two lengths: As shorts or long pants. They can even be cropped to a 7/8 length, or you can add elastic bands to the hem. The waistband can be sewn in an ordinary fashion or as a paperbag and can be adjusted to the appropriate width with a wide elastic band - high comfort guaranteed!

Fabric recommendations:

For pants CELI woven fabrics are ideal. For shorts or light summer pants, linen, muslin, cotton poplin and other light pants fabrics are recommended. CELI can also be a little warmer for fall and winter. For this purpose you can use denim, corduroy or even an upcycled old adult jeans. But you can also make a nice pair of pants out of slightly stretchy French Terry. For the paperbag waistband you should not use too firm / thick fabrics.

Fabric consumption:

For the pants you need (based on 140 cm fabric width plus seam allowances and buffers):

Sizes 92 - 110: shorts 80 cm, long pants 120 cm Sizes 116 - 134: shorts 85 cm, long pants 135 cm Sizes 140 - 164: shorts 90 cm, long pants 150 cm

You will also need some fabric for the inseam pockets and the inside of the butt pockets (not too thick).

Additional material

The waistband of CELI is sewn from the pants' fabric, with the elastic pulled in, about 3-4 cm wide.

If you want to use cuffed/waistband fabric, you need to measure the length of the cuffed part and multiply by 0.8 since a waistband made of cuffed fabric must be shorter and sewn while stretched.
