The Kala Top pattern allows you to make a classic camisole. Its A-line design loosely follows the
shape of your body and breezily flows around the belly and hip area. There is a choice of three
necklines and the back covers the shoulder blades. There’s a shallow, high cut V-neck, a round neck
or a low cut V-neck. Cut the pattern for the neckline you want to make. The top is designed for thin summer-fabrics like chiffon, viscose, or voile.
Kala is designed to be short and fits perfectly to high-waist trousers or skirts, like a culotte or a pencil skirt.
You can use decorative elastic for the straps or make them from your own fabric, especially if you
use a high quality fabric like silk. Spaghetti straps can be made using your sewing machine,
overlocker or coverstitch machine.
