This listing is for patterns and instructions to create a sweet jungle safari nursery mobile featuring a felt elephant, giraffe, monkey, crocodile, lion, tiger, zebra, tree, and leaves.
If you're planning a jungle or safari-themed nursery, complete it with this adorable hand-stitched mobile. Even if you've never sewn or embroidered before, the detailed instructions included with this pattern set will have you stitching like a pro!
No sewing machine is required; everything is done by hand.
PLEASE NOTE: This pattern is rated as intermediate difficulty because it requires greater time and patience than most other patterns in this shop. Tiny animals are actually harder to make than larger ones, however the stitches and techniques used are all the same as the easier-rated patterns. If you have little or no experience sewing and are nervous to try this project, perhaps you could try another pattern first. However if you are an adventurous crafter with patience and attention to detail, you should have no trouble completing this project, even if you don't have experience with hand embroidery.
APPROX FINISHED SIZE:
Not including the string to hang it, this mobile is approximately 16 inches (40 cm) from top to bottom, and 14 inches (35 cm) in diameter. The animals themselves range between 7.5 inches (giraffe) and 2 inches (crocodile) tall (19 to 5 cm).
TIME TO MAKE:
Approximately 14 hours from start to finish. It is not a hard project, but it is a labour of love due to the time involved.
