Materials you need at home:
- - Main lycra: 60 / 65 / 70 / 75 / 80 / 85 / 90 / 95 cm for 140 cm width or 3/4 / 3/4 / 7/8 / 7/8 / 7/8 / 1 / 1 / 1 yards for 58" width
- - Secondary lycra - optional (ruffle, bow): 20 cm or 1/4 yards on width (140 cm - 58") The yardage of the main fabric is sufficient if you want to cut the ruffle and the bow in it.

Ipanema is a one-piece lycra swimsuit pattern available for girls from 2 to 16 years old.
The back neckline is quite low, and the straps meet at the center back or are more or less crossed, depending on your taste.
You can add a classic or a sailor bow at the base of the straps.
An optional gathered ruffle embellishes the straps, then extends over the armholes and the back. It is quite wide at the shoulders, narrowing gradually to the sides or to the center back.
Ipanema can be entirely sewn with a sewing machine or an overlock/coverlock machine, it is fast and easy to sew.
