Materials you need at home:
- Fabric (values given here for a 140 cm / 55” width): 160 cm from 34 to 40 (FR) - 180 cm from 42 to 46 (FR) / 63 ‘’ from 6 to 12 (UK) – 71 ’’ from 14 to 18 (UK). For the top only (blouse version) remove 40 cm / 15 ¾ ‘’.
- 2 bias strips each 50 cm long for sleeve holes.
- Sewing thread.
- Optional: Erasable pen-style marker such as « Pilot Frixion ».
The IN THE SUN dress is a pretty trendy and contemporary dress with flounces and little gatherings!
So feminine with perfect proportions flounces inserted in the top front and very comfortable to wear thanks to its volume.
A lot of variants are possible with or without flounces, top only, … Have a look to the pictures, the graphic black & white silk minimalist version works very well. Create your own!
The set of patterns is available from size 34 to 46 (FR) / 6 to 18 (UK) corresponding to 32 to 41 ¼ inches for the bust size.
Light fabrics will do well. The dress final look will strongly depend on fabric fluidity. A stiff fabric will give more volume to flounces compared to a fluid one.
