This project uses chunky yarn, a cord basically, which is perfect for this type of the project - it needs to be sturdy and last as long as possible. And it looks great if I may say so :) Stitches used are all basic stitches that can alo be used for other items, like washcloths, or hand towels, or even trivets. Different size of the finished project can be achieved with modifications in stitches and rows numbers. Basic stitches used, slip stitch and single and double crochet, are all explained.
