A crochet pattern from Nancy Brown-Designer for a retro accessory that is so up-to-date.
Start with six granny square motifs that are joined to form a ring. Crochet around the top of the ring for a few rounds and then create an opening for the handles. Crochet around the bottom of the ring and continue the body of the bag in the granny square pattern. Crochet the base and attach to the bag. Attach a crocheted button and your Granny Square Clutch Bag is complete.
Designed for the Intemediate Crocheter, this bag measures approximately 22" around (measured below the granny squares) and 8" in depth.
Crocheted in "Basic Stitch Premium" (a worsted weight or size 4 yarn) from Lion Brand Yarns using U.S. sizes G and H crochet hooks.
