These adorable shorts come in a wide size range and are fast and easy to sew. They can be made with a variety of edge trims; simply use ready made bias binding or make your own to compliment the fabric you have chosen. Included in the options is a sweet ruffled bias edging. More good news is that they require so little fabric; you will probably be able to use leftovers from your fabric stash. My samples are all made from leftovers. Your girls will love these for summer or you can make them in heavier fabrics for cooler weather and pop some tights or leggings under. The shorts are designed to finish at upper thigh length.
EXPERIENCE: Suitable for the novice seamstress; basic sewing skills.
SIZES: 2y, 3y, 4y, 5y, 6y, 8y, 10y, 12y, 14y --- to fit children 2 to 14 years. Size chart in inches and centimeters is included.
FABRIC: The best fabrics to use are medium weight and lightweight cottons e.g. denim, drill, poplin, homespun and similar fabrics. My polka dot sample is in a soft cotton drill, trimmed with a self-made bias in stripe poplin.
