Materials you need at home:
Fabrics: Light to medium weight woven fabrics or minimal stretch knits are best. Quantity chart in pattern file.
Bias binding: This can be made as shown in the tutorial using the pattern provided; alternately use ready-made 25mm/1” bias binding. When sewn the binding must have a folded finished width of at least 1cm/3/8”. A contrast fabric in light weight cotton is best for making bias binding.
Buttons: 2 x 22-25mm/3/4”-1” for the straps.
Elastic: 25mm/1” wide elastic for waistband. See chart for lengths.
Thread: matching all purpose thread for plain sewing and overlocker.
Applique [optional]: Use light weight cloth to avoid it becoming too heavy and stiff when finished. Choose a thread colour that will work on both parts or use a matching colour for each fabric. To sew the appliqué a zig-zag stitch setting on your machine is required. The following amounts are for all sizes.
1/ Appliqué adhesive backing = 30x40cm/12”x16” piece.
2/ Fabric print for face & outer ears = 20x35cm/8”x15” piece.
3/ Fabric print for inner ears = 15x20cm/ 6”x8” piece.
4/ Dark coloured fabric or felt for eyes = 5cmx5cm/2”x2” piece.

The gorgeous flared skirt can be made in at least three versions as shown in the sewing tutorial. The bunny appliqué and straps are optional. Older girls will prefer just the plain skirt. The shape is full and flared at the hem and gently gathered at the waist by the elastic waistband. Mix & match fabrics and trims to create your own unique and charming little skirt.
