The Silly Frilly Shorts are just perfect for a special fun summer outfit. Mix and match fabrics to get the style you like and add bias, rickrack, braid or lace trims. The length is to upper thigh and there is an elastic pull-on waist. There are three rows of ruffles; these need to be hemmed or edge stitched. Alternately bias binding or rickrack can be used to finish the hem edges.

FABRIC: Best fabrics to use are light weight cottons or poly cottons; poplin, homespun and similar fabrics. For the cooler weather you can use pin-wale corduroy, velvet or lightweight denim.
