The straps are inserted into the back neck band and buttoned onto the inside front band where a decorative bow is attached. The back band has elastic inserted to give a snug and flexible fit. The dress is knee length and the topper sits above the waist. The topper has a self-made contrast bias binding around the neck, front, back and sleeve edges.

Experience Level: Suitable for the advanced beginner to intermediate level. Plain sewing skills only are required with the ability to insert a plain zipper and make two buttonholes. The tutorial shows how to make every step of the dress including how to make the bias binding for the topper.
