We use Janome DC3050 – it can do straight stitches, buttonholes and some of decorative stitches, also con replace overlock by zigzag stitch (it has several type of zigzag stitches); Janome myLock 644D for overlock stitches, Janome CoverPro II for cover stitches and my love - Janome embroidery machine Memory Craft 350E when I want to a little bit more creative my garment. When I was student I had Minerva, Brother and Juki but my choice is Janome for more than 12 years.
• The estimates of the amount of fabric needed for the dress are based on 60” wide (150cm) fabrics. Main fabric: M0-M12 = 55 cm, Y2-Y6 = 80-110 cm, Y7-Y12 = 110-150 cm. Lining fabric: M0-M12 = 55 cm, Y2-Y6 = 80-110 cm, Y7-Y12 = 110-150 cm. Interfacing: M0-M12 = 5x10 cm, Y2-Y12 = 10x30 cm.

NOTE 1: We sewed dress for 12 months, for our little girl. She is very active and we choose to sew inside on dress the bottom part of the body. That’s why we include patterns for 9 and 12 months’ bottom body part (page 13-14). This is optional! NOTE 2: If you want skirt to be fluffier than you will need a little bit more amount of fabric. Also, for fluffier effect you can put tulle fabric on the lining fabric. You can modify length. You can combine different fabric types. Be creative, make your own design!
