This cozy cowl comes in two depths and is designed to maximize the yardage of the main colourway. The shallow cowl looks great around the neck, but it can also be pulled down around the shoulders. The deep cowl is long enough to really bunch up and provide warmth on frigid winter days. They both can also be pulled up and worn like a hood. Both versions have two simple lace patterns and are worked in the round.
Skills required: basic knitting skills, knitting in the round, knitting with Magic Loop/two circular needles/one circular needle (your choice), yarn overs, k2tog/ssk decs, working from simple lace chart or written instructions
Gauge: 18 sts and 26 rounds = 4" (10 cm) over either lace pattern using 5 mm (US 8) needle
Finished Measurements Shallow: 14 1⁄2" (37 cm) x 29 1⁄4" (74.5 cm) circumference Deep: 23" (58.5 cm) x 29 1⁄4" (74.5 cm) circumference
