Pictured is recycled chicken feed bags; however you can use any woven polypropylene feed bag for this Farm Market tote handbag. This tutorial is written using inch (imperial) measurements.
This design is my own design for a simple unlined tote that is handy to have when shopping at the market, especially appropriate at farm markets. The finished size of this tote will be approximately 18" tall, 14" wide and 6" deep. This tote tutorial shows how this tote has 5 separate panels for the outside and it has additional bottom panel that can be sewn into inside of the bottom to add beauty and durability.
Options include various material and methods for the handles.
It is 16 pages chocked full of pictures and instructions. This tote is not lined.
Materials:
Note that the feed bag must be the plastic woven type, not paper. One 50 pound feed bag or you may need multiple bags if using smaller bags.
Thread to match or contrast with the feed bag of your choice ( I use quilting thread that is mercerized cotton)
Old jeans or similar material to cut into strip for inside core of the handles.

I enjoy the retired lifestyle on a small homestead in Florida USA. I hope to be able to travel in a nomadic off-grid way someday. I create and produce tutorials in digital form published in PDF, all of which I used to make, sell, or gift. I made the tutorials for those folks who want to make the totes instead of buying from me.
