the watch roll
The watch roll is a unique and thoughtful gift, as well as a handy travel accessory. It is a padded fabric roll with three slots to safely house your watches when you travel.
finished dimensions
The watch roll is 7” wide and 9” tall opened, and 3” tall rolled. Each of the three pockets for the watches are 2" wide and 5.5" deep. It is most appropriate for smaller watches, or watches with flexible bands.
skill level
The watch roll is a very simple project that comes together quickly. The pattern can easily be adapted to make a larger roll, to accommodate more watches, or larger watches.
suggested fabrics
Use light to heavyweight woven fabric for the body, and lightweight woven fabric for the pocket. Use felt, fusible fleece or cotton batting for the interlining. Avoid fabrics that are sheer, stretchy, drapey, or with pile.
This is a GREAT project to use upcycled fabric, like old tweed jackets or military surplus!
