Crafty Intentions CROCHET PATTERN Eastern Dragon (printable PDF-file / 77 pages)
THIS IS THE ORIGINAL EASTERN DRAGON PATTERN. THIS IS THE DRAGON BODY PATTERN. THERE IS AN ADD-ON/SUPPLEMENTAL/EXPANSION PATTERN FOR MORE CUSTOM ORNAMENTATION
You can find the Add-On Pattern here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/811948646/add-on-eastern-dragon-ornamentation
Developed by Megan Lapp aka Crafty Intentions, this pattern is for an Eastern Dragon! This pattern is written in U.S. terminology.
This pattern comes with instructions to make an Eastern Dragon!! There is ONE body that you can customize with a number of ornamentation options. Everything you see in the photos is included in the pattern. All instructions are carefully depicted with words and photos! This pattern features clear step by step instruction with a lot of row-by-row photos. The gauge is not crucial to the pattern as long as the stitches are tight enough to hold stuffing.
This pattern is a total of 77 pages containing a full set of written instructions with photographic illustrations, and there are video tutorials for particular steps and stitches available on my YouTube channel. This Pattern consists of ONE PDF File, and the last 20 pages are Text-Only, Printer-Friendly instructions, but I strongly recommend you still refer to the photographic illustrations throughout the pattern if you have any questions.
This pattern is available in English, German, and French. Translations can be found in the ZIP file attached. Diese Anleitung ist sowohl auf Deutsch erhältlich. Une traduction française du patron est maintenant disponible.

Polyfil
3+ pieces of 18-inch 18 gauge paper wrapped stem wire, or alternative that is strong yet moldable. **Note: You may wish to double your wire for the length of the body, or at least for the head and tail sections. This will make your dragon particularly stable once the ornamentation is added. The Eastern Dragon CAN be made without wire, but it will not be poseable and you will need to take extra care to stuff it firm enough to maintain its posture, but not so much it distorts the shaping.
