The first of the long awaited Lateralis Hats introduces the concept: sideways knit Hats with an intriguing new construction. In Duality, the Hat’s architecture is laid bare with high single-ridge arches that provide an accessible entry point to the short row colourwork method.
Wear it with those stripes leading back from the face, or bending over it; there’s no one right way.
The pattern is written for three sizes, with sizing achieved through gauge, and includes tutorials for German Short Rows and Kitchener Stitch.
Featuring short row colourwork, each of the Lateralis Hats is knit sideways and grafted. Unlike other sideways knit Hats, these patterns aren’t constructed from panels, and they will lead you on an altogether different adventure. The pattern is provided as a map for the short rows - a directional chart - that will help guide you through the pattern.
