This trendy oversized dress serves you elegance, simplicity and lightness all in one. The dress LANGKAH is comfortable no matter if worn in summer or winter and swirls around the body effortlessly. A bonus point is the comforting sensation that saves you from worrying about the perfect fit. An airy swirling dress always falls the way it needs to, confidently.
The two attached tiers make the dress wonderfully airy. When you turn, the tiers move around you in a lively way. With a few simple steps the pattern can even be adjusted to a maternity dress. LANGKAH has a beautiful button placket in the center front and is sewn out of woven fabrics such as linen, flannel, batiste or others.
LANGKAH is Indonesian and translates into "step". Since you sew the tiered skirt piece step by step we thought the name was really fitting!
The tiered dress LANGKAH is actually easily sewn. We will explain how to sew the tiers and putting together the dress is no problem at all. However, working on button plackets is a little challenging. Therefore, we rated this pattern as medium regarding its difficulty.
Fabric recommendations:
We recommend using non-elastic fabrics such as linen, batiste, poplin, flannel, chambray, lighter denim or other blouse/shirt fabrics. The fabric shouldn't be too flowy and light.
Fabric consumption:
For LANGKAH you will need the following amounts of fabric (based on 140 cm fabric width including seam allowances and buffers):
Sizes XS, S, M - 2.20 m Sizes L, XL - 2.40 m Sizes XXL - 2.60 m
Additional material: - 1 m elastic, 1 cm wide - 5 - 6 buttons - Depending on the fabric, ironing interfacing for the button placket - If you don't want to use your fabric for the neckline binding, you'll also need bias tape - Color matching sewing thread
