Materials you need at home:
- For fabric, you can either use: thick jersey, pique knit, lurex, or punto Milano jersey; it must contain between 4 to 7% of elastane for 200 to 400g of linear metre.
- From size 34 to 50 (French Sizes), you will need: 3m x140cm of width
- From size 52 to 60 (French Sizes), you will need: 4m x140cm of width
- A collar appliqué with lace (optional for the front)
- 39 A4 papers and a printer (with a high ink level)
- A sewing machine, An overlock machine/serger (also not compulsory)
- To put lace on the open back, you will need 2 pieces of lace 25x45cm. I recommend to you to buy 30cm wide lace because we will use the nice edge without adding any finishing touches. • To put lace and a yoke on the open back, you will need 40x45cm. You can use basic lace as the 2 edges of the lace piece will be sewn. • For contrasting parts (waist bands and shoulder straps) you will need 30 x 90cm maximum.
- Jersey needles (this is not compulsory, but your stitches will be awesome)
You can wear it during the day or by night, in summer or winter, the Marra dress can be classic or festive but it will always be chic and nice to wear. It has a boat neck and a circle skirt. It can have sleeves or not and there are different backs. So, the way it will looks it is all up to you. It does not matter if you are a beginner or an advanced sewer, have fun making it and of course wearing it!
