Beat those winter chills with this gorgeous shawl and mitts.
This triangle-shaped shawl is super cosy, wrapped closely around your neck for those colder days or just lain over your shoulders on those warmer days. Using a yarn that has a variegated die creates this lovely vertical colour banding which is very appealing to the eye. The simple lace edging on the lower edge increases the feminity of this very functional scarf.
The fingerless mitts complement the scarf design with an identical but slightly smaller lace edging at the fingertips.
I've made this shawl and mitts set in a wool/dralon mix yarn for its cosiness but you could easily use any yarn at all and any thickness of yarn. The possibilities are endless!!
All of my patterns state exactly how much yarn I've used, by colour and weight, to allow you to utilise any yarn stash you may have!!
Difficulty level : You should be comfortable with increasing and decreasing but I have included charts and photos to help you along Measurements : Scarf : Long 64in/163cm, Wide 17in/43cm, Mitts : Long 8in/20.5cm
Please feel free to sell the items you make from this pattern but please do NOT sell, distribute or reproduce this pattern in anyway. I would also appreciate you crediting my little shop when you sell the finished items :-). Thank you for your respect.
My patterns are written in both UK/European and US/American crochet terms in two separate files. The PDF file attached to this listing is written in UK/European terms. The zip file attached to this listing contains both the UK/European file and the US/American file. (If you are unsure which one to use, the UK/European file uses terms like htr=half treble and the US/American file uses terms like sc=single crochet and hdc=half double crochet. Hope this helps!)
Thanks so much for looking!! R♥

I ♥ Crochet!!!
I love all things crafty - knitting, sewing, lacemaking, embroidery, but my true passion is crochet. I was taught to crochet by a wonderful lady and I feel so lucky to be able to pass that knowledge on to others, in my classes and through my written patterns.
I hope you like my little designs. Happy Crocheting! R♥
