*** Pattern No 6 Mummy and Baby Ladybird Bags ***
This is a cute crochet pattern for mummy and baby ladybird handbags.
The mummy ladybird bag has open wings and measures 5.25in/13.3cm wide and 6.5in/16.5cm high, with a short strap measuring 12.5in/32cm. The pattern includes additional instructions for a longer strap and the option of having the opening at the "eyes" end instead of the "wings" end as in the photograph. {My daughter thinks this bag would work great as a facecloth too, as it is big enough for an adults hand, though you would need to make sure the black and red cotton you use is very colourfast!!}
The baby ladybirds have closed wings and each bag measures 5in/12.5cm wide, 6.25in/16cm high, with a long strap measuring 40.5in/103cm.
Both style of bag close with a loop and a button on the reverse of the bag.
As with my other bag patterns, this would make a lovely gift for a little girl or for making in volume to sell at fundraising or charity events. And my patterns state how much yarn I've used, by colour and weight, to allow you to utilise any yarn stash you may have!! I also include photographs in the patterns to help explain certain steps. And my bags are designed so that they do not need a material lining, making them quicker to finish!!
Please feel free to sell the items you make from this pattern but please do NOT sell, distribute or reproduce this pattern in anyway. I would also appreciate you crediting my little shop when you sell the finished items :-). Thank you for your respect.
My patterns are written in both UK/European and US/American crochet terms in two separate files. The PDF file attached to this listing is written in UK/European terms. The zip file attached to this listing contains both the UK/European file and the US/American file. (If you are unsure which one to use, the UK/European file uses terms like htr=half treble and the US/American file uses terms like sc=single crochet and hdc=half double crochet. Hope this helps!)
Thanks so much for looking!! R♥

I ♥ Crochet!!!
I love all things crafty - knitting, sewing, lacemaking, embroidery, but my true passion is crochet. I was taught to crochet by a wonderful lady and I feel so lucky to be able to pass that knowledge on to others, in my classes and through my written patterns.
I hope you like my little designs. Happy Crocheting! R♥
