Cristallo. My Italian name.
In college I studied in Rome. During my time there, I would dream of moving to a small town in northern Italy and opening a tie shop. It was to be called Cristallo’s Cravatte.
I was enamored by all these gorgeous shops that specialized in a unique and quality product. I have always loved ties, I would buy them for my dad and boyfriends over the years, even though most were likely never worn. Living in Italy, every town visited would have one or two tie shops, mine is waiting for me somewhere.
As I was designing Cristallo, my mind continued to wander back to that place in time where I first dreamed of designing, creating my own products, and living a simple life in the Tuscan countryside. I slowly inch a little closer every year to this dream. And although it may never be a reality in this lifetime, that dream continues to live on, because someday.........
