If you want to try some stranded knitting, this little project might be just right. It doesn’t take too much time and you never work with more than 2 colours at once. After finishing the neck ribbing and yoke (with an optional slit for comfortable dressing), body and sleeves are worked seperately, in the round, with some increased stiches under arms and some decreases for the sleeve shaping. Finally, a short button band is worked alongside the slit. The sweater comes in 4 sizes, from 6-12 Months to 2-3 years.
Alternative yarn suggestions (see also YarnSub.com): Country Tweed Fine (100 % wool / Landlust Soft Tweed by Lana Grossa (100 % merino wool), approx 180m/50 g, hand wash, slightly lower stitch count. Drops Soft Tweed (50% wool, 25% alpaca, 25% Viscose), approx 130 m/50 g, hand wash (You will need 25% more using this yarn).
