3 Chickens
These Chickens are real eye-catchers.
They come in packs of 3. And they're quite big, too! :)
You only need a flock of hens? No problem! Just put combs and beaks for the hen on each body and you're good. :) The „faces“ are interchangeable. I haven't yet tried putting the chick's face on the big body, but everything else looks just fine. :)
They make really nice spring and/or Easter decoration.
Skill Level: easy to medium
Size: The size depends on your gauge, chosen type of yarn and crochet hook size. I'm using Puppets Lyric yarn (8/8, DK/Light-Worsted) from Coats and a 3 mm hook. With that I get the following size/s: 13 cm, 24 cm, & 34 cm
used Techniques * magic ring * chain * single crochet * half double crochet * double crochet * slip stitch * increase and (invisible) decrease * crocheting in back loops (instructions included) * crocheting back and forth in rows * crocheting in continuous rounds (rounds are not joined) * basic sewing (sewing on body-parts, closing openings etc) * basic embroidery (i.e. eyes, mouth etc)
The pattern is very detailed. Almost every single step/stitch is explained in words and pictures. Special characteristics are explained step-by-step (i.e. crocheting the wings to the body). You see, nothing can go wrong! :)
