Cat - Doorstop

Doors... they all tend to get slamed closed by a strong gust of wind. Not only is this extremely loud, but also annoying, when all you want to do is airing out the house and letting in some fresh air.

This will finally come to an end with this beautiful doorstop. Once the door is open, it stays open. :)

Thanks to the handle you can easily pick it up and move it around or simply out of the way.

When you stuff the Cat with something soft instead, not only will it be less heavy but will become a nice soft toy, too. The doorstop-functionality will be lost then though. ;)

Skill Level: easy to medium

Size: The size depends on your gauge, chosen type of yarn and crochet hook size. I'm using Puppets Lyric yarn (8/8, DK/Light-Worsted) from Coats and a 3 mm hook. With that I get the following size/s: 22 cm (without ears)

used Techniques * magic ring * chain * single crochet * double crochet * slip stitch * increase and (invisible) decrease * crocheting in back loops (instructions included) * crocheting back and forth in rows * crocheting in continuous rounds (rounds are not joined) * changing yarn-color (instructions included) * basic sewing (sewing on body-parts, closing openings etc) * basic embroidery (i.e. eyes, mouth etc)

The pattern is very detailed. Almost every single step/stitch is explained in words and pictures. Special characteristics are explained step-by-step (i.e. crocheting the handle to the body). You see, nothing can go wrong! :)
