This ebook consists of very detailed sewing instructions and a pattern in size A4 and A0. It is not just a simple sewing tutorial, but rather structured like "a real book" or even "screenshots of a video + text", with lots of tips and info. Don't be intimidated by the number of pages. This is an elaborate and very time-consuming project and requires bag sewing experience. However, the instructions are just as detailed as the other Hansedelli patterns.
Difficulty: 4.5-5 of 5 // Working time: Take several days to do this.
Dimensions and design
"Veiiko" is designed as a travel backpack and with its dimensions of approx. W 31cm x H 45cm x D 16cm (12" x 17 3/4" x 6 1/2") it can also be taken on the plane as hand luggage. It is divided into a large main compartment and a separate laptop compartment. Instructions on how to increase/decrease the depth of the backpack are included. You can omit the laptop compartment if you like, making the backpack much easier to sew.
"Veiiko" is a multifunctional backpack that can be carried either vertically (as a backpack) or horizontally (as a shoulder or trolley bag). All compartments and functions are optimised for this purpose. When you don't want to wear it as a backpack, just tuck the backpack straps in the strap storage and hide the connectors in their own small hide-away – so it fits perfectly in the hand luggage compartment on the plane. This is also advisable when using "Veiiko" on a bike rack, so the backpack straps don't get caught in the spokes.
The backpack and all the compartments are closed with zips. The zip of the main compartment runs almost completely around, so that the bag can be opened flat like a suitcase.
Exterior pockets: large front pocket, eye-catching bottle pocket, side zip pocket on the back, strap storage
Main compartment pockets: large mesh pockets, smal hanging mesh pocket, asymmetrical slip pocket, large zipper pocket
Veiiko's separate laptop compartment fits laptops up to 17". An optional laptop strap holds your laptop in place. Designed as a travel backpack, there is a passport pocket hidden under a flap that fits two passports. It also contains: a large zipper pocket and an optional slip pocket for your tablet.

Hansedelli
Even as a child I always wanted to look behind things and know how they work. I never wanted to become a teacher or a veterinarian like the other children, but always an inventor. So with the foundation of my label Hansedelli in April 2014 I fulfilled a childhood dream, because as a designer you are somehow an inventor :-)
As Hansedelli I design patterns for bags, purses and co. and create sewing instructions. I attach a lot of importance to detailed instructions and good photos, so that even beginners can follow the instructions. Visit me on Facebook www.facebook.com/hansedelli or on my website www.hansedelli.de
