The ebook includes the pattern cardigan KARDIGAN for kids by Nähfrosch, detailed sewing instructions with many photos, different versions, as well as practical tips for sewing.
Just put it on and feel good - you can really snuggle up in this beautiful cardigan. KARDIGAN is a casual basic piece with integrated hood that fits any style. An absolute must-have! Closureless and with slightly offset shoulder seams, the cardigan is sewn super fast and easy.
KARDIGAN is designed for stretchy fabrics such as knitwear, thin French Terry or stretchy jacquard. It has slightly dropped shoulders and patch square pockets. Moreover, KARDIGAN is lightly fitted and comes with optional cuffs. The hood is plain and sewn quite simply without a lining. The cardigan's length extends over the butt, but you can also easily adjust it to maxi length, if you prefer!
KARDIGAN is Indonesian and translates into "cardigan". You guessed it, this pattern is just what it appears to be! KARDIGAN embraces you on cool days - casually and trendy!
This piece is very straightforward, as thanks to the added hem allowance you only need to fold the edges accordingly. With these instructions, you'll be able to sew your KARDIGAN easily, even if you're a beginner.
Fabric recommendations:
For the cardigan we recommend stretchy fabrics with a nice drape. It's very important that the fabric does not have too much stiffness and is not too thick. Depending on whether you use a noble fine knit, a casual coarse knit or a jacquard knit, the cardigan always looks different. A waffle-weave patterned jersey, modal fabric, interlock or thin French Terry are also suitable.
Fabric consumption:
For KARDIGAN you will need the following amounts of fabric (based on 140 cm fabric width plus seam allowances and buffers):
Sizes 98 - 116: 1.1 m Sizes 122 - 140: 1.4 m Sizes 146 - 164: 1.8 m Sizes 170 - 176: 2 m
You will also need: - 1 m slightly elastic interfacing, e.g. flexible fusible web seam tape - Sewing thread in matching color
