These mid-calf socks have a big fair isle design across the leg and a smaller one across the foot.
The heel is a classic heel with a heel flap and a gusset and the toe is a wedge toe.
I chose a slip stitch rib for the heel flap to add a bit of texture and to make the heel more durable.
Gauge: 30 stitches and 40 rows to 10 cm
To knit one pair of socks you will need sock yarn (4-ply) in two different colors (about 50 g each).
The pattern is written for shoe sizes 22-45 (EU) and you need to cast on a multiple of 8 stitches.
The pattern calls for DPNs in 2.5 mm (cuff) and 2.75 mm (main), but you can also use the Magic loop technique.
The pattern includes step-by-step instructions for the heel and toe and charts for the fair isle designs.
