The ebook includes the pattern KERAH for women by Nähfrosch (DIN A0, A4), detailed sewing instructions with many photos as well as practical tips for sewing.
The blouse KERAH is fashionably wide cut and provides elegant effortlessness. The special feature of this blouse is the small standing collar in a ruffled look. KERAH is tied at the neck and you can easily adjust the collar width with a ribbon. In addition, the blouse has two vents at the back: at the top of the neck and from the lower back to the hem. This makes the blouse loose, non-constricting and allows you to move with ease. Small feel-good pads are elegantly concealed and the blouse length can of course be adjusted individually. The sleeves are gathered at the wrist with an elastic and thus harmoniously reflect the look of the standing collar.
KERAH can be sewn wonderfully from flowing woven fabric. For example, viscose woven fabric, crepe or chiffon are ideal here. The blouse can be worn both casually with jeans and sneakers or more feminine with pencil skirt and high heels.
KERAH is Indonesian and translates into "standing collar". The collar is indeed what characterizes KERAH and makes the blouse so unique.
The blouse is quite simple, even for beginners. Perhaps it should not be your very first project, but if you have already spent some time at the sewing machine, you will definitely be able to manage it. In this case, however, it might be important to choose a "simple" fabric that doesn't slip too much when sewing, such as muslin or batiste.
Fabric recommendations:
Non-stretchy, flowing fabrics for blouses are suitable for your blouse KERAH. These include viscose woven, crepe, chiffon, voile, batiste, muslin, georgette, satin or silk. The flowing drape is especially important, otherwise the blouse will become too stiff.
Fabric consumption:
For KERAH you need the following amounts of fabric (based on 150 cm fabric width plus seam allowances and buffers):
Sizes XS, S, M - 1.60 m Sizes L, XL, XXL - 1.90 m
You will also need:
60 cm elastic, 1.5 cm wide (maybe more if you want to sew the hem with an elastic band)
