The ebook includes the pattern WANITA for women by Nähfrosch, detailed sewing instructions with many photos and adjustment options, as well as practical tips for sewing.
The blazer belongs to the classics and should not be missing in any closet. Combined casually with jeans or elegantly with a dress, with the blazer WANITA you always complement your outfit perfectly. Due to dividing seams in the front and back as well as on the sleeves, the unlined pattern is beautifully body-hugging. The shawl collar is available in two widths and has one big advantage: in contrast to the classic lapel, it is definitely easier to sew!
The optional patch pockets are trendy. They sit a little higher in contrast to the classic pattern and create a modern look - especially if you sew them as a flap pocket. Of course, you can position the pockets according to your taste. Whether you put a button to the waist, or prefer a tie belt, is also up to you. Thus, WANITA becomes your very personal, new favorite piece!
Of course, you can also give your blazer an individual look by choosing a particular fabric. In addition to the wool classics such as tweed, twill, gabardine or wool blends, corresponding qualities made of cotton are also suitable, as well as corduroy, denim, bouclé and satin. Linen and bamboo are also great - wonderfully light for the summer! It is always important to have a certain firmness so that the blazer retains its shape.
There could hardly be a more appropriate name for this pattern. WANITA is Indonesian and translates into "woman". After all, we think that a blazer is a great garment to highlight the feminine sides quite classically :-)
This pattern is a bit of a challenge - without question. And we have actually considered whether we can classify the blazer WANITA as "medium" at all. But our test sewers coped very well with the instructions! Of course, you should have some sewing experience, so that you can adjust the fit optimally. After all, the blazer should fit perfectly. The sewing itself will surely work out well with our instructions. Trust yourself! The pattern is not as difficult as it may seem at first glance.
Fabric recommendations:
Woven fabric with a nice, heavy drape is best for the blazer. It may also be a little stretchy for comfort, but ideally the fabric needs a firm base structure and some stability.
Typical qualities are, in addition to the woolen classics such as tweed, twill, gabardine or wool blends, also suitable corresponding qualities of cotton. Cord, jeans, bouclé, satin, velvet or heavy (!) jersey also look great. And absolutely recommended for the summer are linen and bamboo!
Fabric consumption:
Sizes 34 - 40 = 2.40 m Sizes 42 - 48 = 2.50 m Sizes 50 - 56 = 2.60 m
