These lovely boot cuffs go perfectly with any boots, short or tall! They also look lovely with ankle boots, flats, or heels.
These boot cuffs are worked in the round with double pointed 3mm (2.5US) needles and fingering weight yarn from Jamieson’s of Shetland spindrift yarn. The two colours used are: Eggshell and Navy. However there are endless colour possibilities and any other fingering weight yarn would also suite this design!
There is a narrow band of ribbing at the top and bottom of each leg warmer.
The pattern includes instructions for two sizes Small and Medium with circumference measurements of 10” and 14” and the length is 6”.
When choosing which size to knit consider whether you would like to use them as predominantly around your calf for taller boots or around the ankle. For taller boots measure around your calf and choose the size that is closest to your calf measurement. For around the ankle it is better to choose a size that is slightly smaller than for around the calf, unless you prefer it to fit more loosely around the ankle.
The pattern includes written instructions and a chart for the fair isle.
These are a great way to dress up your boots or shoes!
MunroSisters3
We are three sisters that love knitting!
Our Scottish grandmother taught us to knit when we were 5 and 7 years old and we have been knitting ever since. Over the years after adapting patterns and then designing various pieces Fiona realised that we should be making these new creations into patterns that can then be shared with others. All three of us have our own design styles and interests but love to help each other with these designs even though we have become geographically dispersed across Canada, England, and Scotland. In terms of knitting style we love natural fibers and colour! Fiona in particular has a thing for fair isle design and Hannah loves wildlife (birds in particular).
