I designed this afghan for my baby granddaughter born in May 2017. My canvas of patterns included teddies, bows and hearts, and I knitted the throw in a single piece using a complementing palette of colours.

I chose Drops Paris Aran Yarn, a 100% cotton yarn particularly suitable for sensitive skins, which has a 50g ball length of 75 metres and is also surprisingly affordable.

The blanket has three motif teddies on each side. The teddy was drawn from one of my own childhood bears.
