This knitted Battenberg slice is a fun, quick and easy knit and makes an instantly recognisable addition to any collection of play/display food or pin cushions. The Lemon version has been worked using Robin DK and the Chocolate version has been worked using Patons Fab DK, though the pattern is also suitable for using up other DK oddments if tension is checked.
The 4 page pattern is suitable for beginners. The completed square is approx. 8cm.
A collection of play food items makes a great stash buster and whether collected individually or sold collectively at fundraising fairs, these Battenberg slices are as tempting as the real thing.

I wouldn't say I forget everything else when I'm designing... but I do drink a lot of cold coffee! I'm an obsessive knitter who began writing patterns whenever one I bought proved disappointing or when I couldn't find quite what I wanted My patterns are designed to be as easy as possible to make and as straightforward as possible to make up. They're designed to be fun!
