The Basket of Easter Eggs Tea Cosy looks like a beautiful wicker basket that the Easter Bunny might carry and it's filled with bright, painted eggs.
The Easter basket has five painted eggs inside, with assorted designs and colours. And there are four dark purple crocus flowers in and around the basket too.
For the knitter there are lots of interesting elements in this project. There are mock cables around the bottom edge and rim of the basket. The basket itself is actually woven knitting. Then the grassy lining in the basket is knitted in loopy stitch. The eggs have color change, intarsia and applique work on them, but you could knit plain eggs or use colour changing yarn to give your eggs stripes without the hassle of changing yarns.
The 7 page knitting pattern contains lots of photos to help and guide you.
The basket of Easter eggs tea cosy is certainly a great tea cosy for stash busting because the painted Easter eggs can be worked in any colours, using up all those little balls of yarn.
The pattern is knitted on two pins and is easy to follow.
The tea cosy fits a medium sized teapot that covers a Teapot that holds 6 to 8 cups or 2 pints.
The pattern will be available for digital download as soon as you have completed purchase, so you could start knitting it very soon!
This product is the knitting pattern only; to knit your own Basket of Easter Eggs tea cosy.

I design and knit unique tea cosies. I really love designing exciting and unusual tea cosies, its great fun and people don’t mind having an over the top tea cosy. Plus they are a great talking point at tea time and make for brilliant knitting projects.
I have quite a following with regular customers who regularly buy my latest designs from my website TeaCosyFolk.co.uk
I have had a couple of patterns printed in the Simply Knitting Magazine, which is very exciting.
