The Bailiff Scarf is a basic Fisherman’s Rib scarf that will definitely attract attention. It presents ultra-softness by knitting the entire scarf with the yarn held double from some of the softest alpaca fiber available. Supporting this snuggly feel is the cushy softness of the Fisherman’s Rib stitch used for this design. Attention will also come from the deliberate and mathematical gradient effects from dark to light and back to dark. In preparation for working with the yarn held double it is important to wind the MC hank(s) into 2 equal sized balls. The entire scarf is also worked with 2 edge sts on either side to match the look of the Fisherman’s Rib vertical columns. Yarn used for sample: Knit Picks Alpaca Cloud Fingering (100% Superfine Alpaca; 200 yards/50g) MC Carson 26916, 1(1, 2) hanks; C1 Alfred 26915, 1 (2, 2) hanks; C2 Augusta 26913, 2 (3, 3) hanks
