Imagine yourself walking the city streets or a country path wearing this stylish and practical backpack. It is just the perfect accessory for your day off! Designed to be simple to sew but to create a fantastic and professional looking bag, the Day Off Back Pack is sure to become one of your favorite new sewing projects.
The finished adult size pack is 15.5'' x 17.5'', with adjustable straps, a front zipper pocket, a curved flap with a magnetic snap, and a drawstring closure. It also includes an large interior lining pocket. The adult size has a darted or boxy base option.
The child size pack is perfect for children ages 2-8. It is about 12'' x 14'' and features a boxy base and square flap with a button closure. The child size also includes adjustable strap instructions but instead of a drawstring closure, it has snap sides to give it a more boxy and trendy look. The kids love wearing it either snapped or unsnapped so it can adjust to hold all their STUFF.
A fabulous feature of this pattern is the ability to MASH up the adult and child size looks to create a more customized back pack. Change the flap, add the snaps, omit the zipper pocket, add a drawstring, etc. There are lots of options to make the bag just how you want it! No need to settle for just one style!
The pattern includes detailed instructions with clear color photos. It also includes fabric cutting guides for both sizes for your convenience. You have the option of printing out pattern pieces or following a pattern piece guide if you don't want to deal with all that ink and paper!

This pattern is meant to have a few pages printed and the rest to be viewed on your computer or tablet (or phone!) while sewing. It can be printed out but the color photos may use up a lot of your ink!
