This JULAWI pattern shows you how to make a baby shirt with an envelope neck. Included are templates for preemies, babies and toddlers up to 24 months. You have various options to choose from: You can sew the baby shirt with long or short sleeves, each with or without cuffs. If you sew the baby shirt with a hem cuff the fit is wider. Without the shirt can be easily tucked into pants. The envelope neck makes it easy to pull it over the head. The neckline can be opened wide, but still fits snugly around the neck when worn. The baby shirt is sewn in a single layer of soft jersey. You can also sew it from a thicker stretchy fabric (e.g. sweat, french terry or jacquard jersey). This way you get a warmer version for cold days. This sewing tutorial shows you with many pictures step by step how it is done. The baby shirt is easy to sew and therefore suitable for beginners.
