It’s a proven fact that young babies can distinguish black and white better than any other colors, why not make them a blanket they can really appreciate.
This sensory tummy time mat/blanket is great to use on the floor yet is stylish enough for those posh nurseries that defy the pink and blue stereotypes.
The spiral pattern gives it visual interest for the baby who will be crawling all over it, plus the fact that it is black and white means stains from messy baby will be easily masked.
I include a picture tutorial oh how to create the spiral effect and a link to a video tutorial so you don’t have to rely on just the written pattern.
The blanket measures approx. 34” x34” so it is perfect for baby to toddler.
If you prefer the typical pink or blue for baby, the colors can easily be substituted to make this gender specific.
Recommended Yarn approx. 350 yards of white yarn approx. 1000 yards of black yarn 4- medium worsted weight
Recommended Hook 6mm US-J
The blanket pattern is in .pdf format so you will need Adobe Reader to open the document and print it
Just a quick reminder, this is my original design and this pattern is not to be copied and reproduced for monetary purposes, I’d love if you made as many as you liked for yourself or to give as gifts, or even sell the finished pieces for profit (see my shop policies for more on this), but please do not make copies of the pattern. Thanks!
